The girls were supposed to peroform first this week, on Tuesday, but after Crystal Bowersox was hospitalized and told she could not perform that night the guys willingly switched nights to allow her a day to recover and hopefully perform on Wednesday. She did recover and came out strong on Wed night. The judges were all impressed. Simon was extremly happy to see her not only perform but was even more glad she didn’t play the ’sympathy card.’ He mentioned how sick he knew she was and he was worried even that afternoon that she might not make it out. She not only opened the night but won over ALL the judges with her performance of “Long As I Can See The Light.”
Now the question is why was she in the hospital? Back from her hospital stay that caused the girls and guys to switch nights for performing, Crystal opened tonight by singing “As Long As I Can See The Light” by Creedence Clearwater. The judges felt she was amazing!!
Randy said she is ‘the truth’, she does what she does and she’s not trying to be anyone else and he LOVES who she is. “That girl is hot!”
Ellen said Crystal is pure, raw, natural talent–there’s nothing forced, there’s nothing pushed it is just raw natural talent and she is so glad Crystal is here!
Kara said she completly recovered from last week. She felt she picked the right song this week and she thinks tonight Crystal hit a new level and she congratulated her for it!
Simon mentioned the sickness that she was dealing with and wasn’t even sure if she would make it back. He was very impressed that she didn’t play the sympathy card. He feels he totally underestimated her and then went on to compare her Kelly Clarkson and how at this point in the competition they knew they had a star in her and now they can feel the same with Crystal!
Way to go Crystal!!
